Researching a name for my artist was something I knew was vital in creating first impressions to potential audiences. Arianna Grande-Butera uses her birth name but shortened to 'Arianna Grande' as her stage name. I wanted to create a different style of artist so I completely changed the idea of using an artists actual name and come up with something which roles of the tongue and would be remembered. I knew the song for my music video would contain conventions of love therefore I researched girls names which are associated with love. When doing this I found the name Isabel which I instantly knew I loved.
After some thought and research into artists names I thought it would work better to create a 2 word name for my artist such as the likes of 'Katy Perry' 'Arianna Grande' and 'Iggy Azela' etc. After some more thought I decided on some names I could call my artists. The ones below in the screenshot from survey monkey were the ones I came up with.
The names 'Izzy Bello' and 'Izzy bella' came from the first and second part of the name 'Isabel'. This was an easy and fun name I thought of which would be recognised and remembered. The names 'Chanel' 'Elda' and 'E' came from ideas of other artists names such as 'Katy B'.
After conducting this survey 'Izzy Bella' proved most popular with getting 90% of the votes to be the one I would use as my artists name. This one is my personal favourtie therefore I am glad the people in which carried out my survey chose it. I personally think this one will work best as it roles straight of the tongue and sounds the most realistic.
